Montana 1948 by Larry Watson

4.0

A brief and quick read on the one hand, but a difficult book to read on the other. A sheriff of a small Montana town is faced with a case that causes a class of his loyalties and principles: family and tradition on one side, law and right on the other. I want to give trigger warnings, but can't without spoilers, so just know that there is much to be triggered by here.
