A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft
4.0
Sapphic romance? Yes please
Rivals to lovers? Also yes please
A big quest on the high seas? Fuck yeah.
This book was amazing… the only thing that let it down was I just could grasp the characters at the beginning. 6/7 characters were introduced at the same time, and I had trouble discerning who was who for a bit.
I also wish it was slightly longer…
However, the writing was lyrically beautiful. Sylvia and lorelai were amazing, and I loved how the book tackled antisemitic beliefs.
This is the first book that I’ve read of Saft’s and I can’t wait to now read her others.
Thank you for Daphne Press for sending me a copy of this! Floppy ARCs for the win 😂
