Me by Elton John

4.0

I really enjoyed this autobiography. The audiobook is narrated by Taron Egerton who portrayed Elton John in Rocketman and for me it was the perfect fit (if you haven't seen Rocketman you should). I already knew from the movie that Elton's life was terribly chaotic and sad but this book delved deeper into his addictions, the relationship with his parents and the string of bad relationships he found himself in. He talks of all the friends he's lost (John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson) and that's just to name a few. It's a sad yet positive book and despite all that he's been through "he's still standing". It's a good read and if you're an Elton John fan I highly recommend...the audiobook.
Taron is an animated narrator and he made it thoroughly enjoyable, I don't think I'd have enjoyed this as much on paper.
