This book is heartbreakingly beautiful. The writing in this book is great, the world is an immersive blend of history and fantasy and the love story is extremely romantic.
It’s a story of love, hope and (found) family against the backdrop of a war looming on the horizon. It had me swooning, hoping and crying.
The ending left me heartbroken and empty and I can’t wait for Ruthless Vows.
I think this is my favorite book of 2023.
