okay holy shit this was SO GOOD. it was still finding its footing i think, but what a setup. i have never cared for gangs and wars and shit but this book makes it all so compelling and REAL. i fear for all these characters; their strife is my strife. the worldbuilding sucked me in and wouldn’t let me go. it’s just so so good. (also the twists! the one with anden!! im going to implode if i dont find out what happens next bro). solid first book, cant wait to read the next two!
