To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

3.0

I was conflicted after reading this book. Since the netflix movie came out, I put this book forward in my tbr to get to see the movie afterwards. The whole setup of the book was messy. Lara Jean has a box with love letters, which get send towards all the people they are addressed to. This is brought out in the beginning of the book. We never see this whole mystery back until the end of the book. I expected more parts in between where Lara would search for clues to find the person who did this. Also, the whole book is basically centered around a love triangle. That's all we get. I missed more in-depth talk about all the boys and their letters.

On the other side, I can't say that this wasn't a good read. It was fun to read and the chapters went by quickly. Also, I liked the development of the relationship with Peter, and how her family got around was very cozy and inspirational. Maybe the whole synopsis blew me in a different direction with the book, which made me rate it lower than I otherwise would have. Will read the other books in the future.
