Points to this one for not going where I thought it would. Caves, ancient Indians, the American West: I figured this was gonna be troglodytes or saber-tooth tigers or something.
But honestly, the direction it goes in is kinda baffling. I’m still not super clear what the titular anamoly was or how it worked. This seems to be one in a series, so maybe it’s setting up the rest. The book is fast-paced enough that you don’t notice, but it’s just a little messy.
