Duchess cares for her little brother Robin in a way that will make you fall in love with her despite her flaws. She is willing to risk everything for him. This is their story... a story of togetherness, trauma, survival, and sacrifice.
From beginning to end, my heart ached for Duchess and Robin. They go through so much; I even found myself shouting "NOOOOO!" at one point. Through it all, Duchess cares for Robin with her entire being.
This is an emotionally heavy book. It's a bit slow-moving but, overall, a great book.
It comes equipped with old-timey feel, an enormous amount of trauma, and a whole bunch of curse words. It won't be for everyone, but I really liked it.
