harlando 's review for:
The Original
by Brandon Sanderson, Mary Robinette Kowal
Very good. This has the the power of good sci-fi to poke at contemporary problems in a significantly enhanced future. It also manages to use a good story to dodge questions about spotty world building. The Original lives in a future that's believable enough as long as you don't look to closely.
I liked it. How real are the things you see? if everyone else can tweak their worldview to suit their tastes, how real is anything? Is there a lonelier spot to be in than that?
