Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett

5.0

Just genuinely brilliant writing. Beckett said "i'll stick two overly silly overly philosophical guys with a wearily codependent duty of care towards each other onto a stage with one tree on it and see what happens" and it literally hit so hard. It's so witty and so cyclical and so great, and it's the kind of script that stands on its own as a piece of literature but also makes me want to watch it performed. Literally just wonderful all around.
