“Caught in the Axe” by Daphne Elliot is the first book in her new series, Maine Lumberjacks, and I thought it was a fantastic read! I’ve read everything Daphne Elliot has ever written, and she’s never disappointed me, and I don’t think she ever will!
I loved everything about Owen and Lila’s as a couple. Even before they were officially together, they were so supportive of each other’s goals and dreams, and it made me so happy to see!
I also loved how extremely careful Owen was when it came to Lila’s celiac - he went above and beyond to make sure she had the kind of food and snacks she could actually eat, and it just showcased how kind and generous he was.
Lila was such an amazing heroine as well. She was highly intelligent, and I loved that Owen encouraged that and constantly told her how proud he was of her. Lila was also really sweet and very genuine, and I thought she and Owen were a really lovely couple. I would definitely recommend!
