After reading this, I have a deeper understanding of what a masterpiece is. This book is a lesson in life and the past and, ultimately, good writing. I felt absolutely everything Morrison wrote down; her writing is as near to perfect as any I have read in a long, long time. I'm grateful that I have read this book. Its characters, themes, and style will be with me always, as Morrison would have intended them to be. Anyone with a mind capable of reading a book that requires attention and thought shouldn't have a choice but to read this book.
