I just don't care anymore. The longer I spend with the main character the less I give a fuck. It's repetitive and I think it's attempting to build suspense but it's not working for me. I do like the animal POVs, though there are an awful lot of them for a book that's not actually that long, but also feels longer than it actually is.
The lore is neat, but I can't be bothered to get any further with it.
