Fool's Errand by Robin Hobb

3.0

This book did an excellent job continuing Fitz's journey from an older trilogy. I expected quite a few threads to be dropped with this series, but was pleasantly surprised to find it a good continuation of the original story. It had a very similar style and kept fairly true to the characters.

You could have gotten through this book without reading the first trilogy, but I think you'd really miss out so don't recommend it. And if you enjoyed the first books, you'll feel similarly about this one. I am looking forward to reading the next two. It remains a 3 star book like the others of the series because I feel like the first person story can be pretty annoying and I want to shake some sense into Fitz 3 out of every 10 pages.
