I listened to this book on audio and honestly I feel like that helped keep me interested. Its not that this was a bad book. It is a good creepy story it just feels like I have read books similar by Darcy before. Her style is very consistent but TBH if I had read it I might have gotten bored bc its similar to a lot to her other books. It was a quick book though and is helping me get to my goal before the end of the year.
With all that being said…it did keep me guessing who the actual bad guy was as there were several turns where “town rumors” story telling made me change my mind several times. This would be a pretty good book for Halloween time and that might give a boost.
