Look, the story was fantastic. That's what kept me going. But this just felt like such a slog for me. It was so slow-paced. It took forever to get to the main part of the plot. And the frustrating thing is, I don't even know what I would cut to make it faster paced, because it all seemed important, and it's not like the language was overly flowery or verbose.
That epilogue, though. Isabel Ibañez, you know what you did. I will never forgive you.
Anyway, I'll be over here reading the second book and swearing.
