Unfortunately, I decided to put this book down at page 265. I found reading it to be an absolute chore - I just couldn't get invested in any of the characters. I was afraid of it putting me in a book slump I had just gotten myself out of. I'm sad to say that this just wasn't my type of book!
Sissel reminded me of Lex Murphy from the Jurassic Park books. I remember my ninth grade teacher walking into class the first day after summer vacation and saying "Did anyone else want Lex to be eaten by a T-Rex?". I once again felt this feeling with Sissel. I believe this to be a large part of why I stopped reading the book - along with following the story of Rolf and Ketil. If the story solely followed the POV of Hanne and Owen I may have been able to stick around.
