Cursed: An Anthology by Marie O'Regan, Paul Kane
4.0

This was a nice (or maybe not so nice if you consider that these tales are more on the side of Grimm) anthology of unique fairytales. I would read one a night and most of them were dark and properly haunting. I especially enjoyed ones from authors I've read before like Christina Henry and Neil Gaiman - they have such a way of crafting a unique tale even when based upon a fairytale you've encountered before.

My favourites were:
As Red as Blood, As White as Snow by Christina Henry

Troll Bridge by Neil Gaiman

Henry and the Snakewood Box by MR Carey - loved the use of logic

Wendy, Darling by Christopher Golden - was hauntingly beautiful and sad. And a unique take

New Wine by Angela Slatter - properly twisted and creepy

The rest were all really good too, very dark and haunting. Even those without happy endings were riveting. Great book to select a story from when you're looking for something a little dark to curl up with under a blanket.
