RE-READ: I've completely forgotten most of this series and while I did enjoy this back when I read it. Going to lower my rating a bit. Rina really pushes the envelope in this one with several elements (even once the truth is out, you can't help but ponder over some things ...).

------

From the very beginning, I could not wait for Kim and Xander's story. I love that Rina constantly hinted at these two and the anticipation just about killed me. Now, did I expect a super emotional story that would rip my heart out, absolutely not!

From beginning to end, my heart was just breaking for Kim and everything she has endured in her life. The pain and constant bullying, add on the hate that she received from her ex-best friend. I wanted nothing more than to reach into the pages and just hold her.

Kim created this facade to hide her true self, no one sees how she truly is until Xander. Despite all the hate he has towards her, he knows every single thing about her. He knows what he’s doing to her and that made me want to strangle him.

Kim and Xan’s story isn’t an easy one, it’s full of pain, some crazy twists, but they’ll get their happily ever after, eventually. Don’t you worry, it’s a tough ride, but a healing one for the both of them. There was definitely a certain element that I could have done without with their story, kind of wish it was never a thing in their story. Absolutely makes things veryyyyyyy questionable.
