Power Play by Chelsea Curto

5.0

I know that every time I post a review of one of Chelsea’s books I’m like this is my favorite one yet! I can’t help it, she just gets better and better, and it’s true that they are all my favorite! But also, I really think Power Play is my favorite one yet! 😂😂 Liam is basically my kryptonite. A grumpy goalie who is only soft for the woman he loves? I mean please give all of them to me. Piper is also maybe Chelsea’s fmc I relate to the most. I love how she blossoms, and I love how confident she becomes. I also love the emphasis Chelsea puts on women in sports in her books. Piper is just as competent and amazing at her job as everyone else, and those that push back against that are punched in the face by Maverick, and good! Real life should read Chelsea’s books and take notes!
This also has some of my favorite tropes, I mean she had me at accidental marriage, and that plot point was amazing! Also I am a simp for the teach me trope. I’ve never read a book with it that I didn’t like, and this was obviously no exception. Power Play is also maybe one of Chelsea’s funniest books, I literally almost fell off the treadmill around pages 389-396. The girl next to me looked at me like I was nuts! But honestly I was pretty much smiling and kicking my feet in happiness throughout the whole book. I loved it so much!! I cannot recommend this one enough!!
