What a mess. And I certainly don’t mind questionable decisions and sudden moral grayness (and beyond), it’s all great. The issue is that the plot stops making sense around 60% of the book and never recovers. Jackson could’ve easily made it less dramatic and had herself a great ending to Pip’s story. The one we got is underwhelming, convoluted and short on sense.
