Wilde in Love by Eloisa James

3.5

Characters: Lord Alaric Wilde and Miss Willa Ffynche

Alaric Wilde is infamous due to his books on his adventures and a play. He meets Willa and he’s instantly attracted to her.

She is attracted to Alaric as well, but she doesn’t want to give in to him, because he’s so fawned over by other ladies.

A young lady from Alaric’s past when he was abroad comes to his home and announces her love for him, he doesn’t want to be with her so he has Willa fake an engagement with him.

Things I wasn’t a fan of:
  1. Too many characters and it bogged down the story.
  2. The beginning part was boring to me, if I physically read this book I probably would have DNFd this book.
  3. I didn’t like how when Willa wasn’t paying attention to Alaric, he thought about sleeping with another woman to try and get over Willa 🙄
  4. Willa ignoring Alaric and paying attention to every other man, just made it look like the romance was one sided
  5. No idea why Alaric used the nickname Evie (her mothers maiden name was Everett) when he can call her Willa 🤷🏻‍♀️
  6. This felt too lust based once they did get engaged.
