Reminiscent in style of Flowers for Algernon in that you're led through situations through the eyes of a naive (though not necessarily innocent) narrator, extrapolating to understand the actions of other (often unsavory) characters. An excellent device for investigating the paranoia and prejudice prevalent in America's heartland post-911 through dark humor.
