The Hate Zone by Gigi Blume

3.0

This book was an enjoyable, quick read. I had no problems engaging with it. There was a lot of fun to be had!

That said, my engagement felt very surface level. At times I honestly wondered whether our leads were mid-teens rather than in their late 20s. Quite a lot of their dialogue felt more immature than clever banter. I cringed many times, unfortunately.
I also did not care for how abruptly chapters would sometimes end.
The late game conflict was not very believable either. Or perhaps it was just resolved too quickly for me to really care about it.

Nonetheless-- I had fun reading!

Thank you NetGalley and Sodasac Press for providing me an arc in exchange for an honest review.
