A Rogue to Avoid by Bianca Blythe

2.0

I had a hard time finishing this book because it made me cringe so much. The setup sounded fun and funny, but the execution was pretty bad.

Some notes:

1. The author seems to be fond of noting every single occasion when a character blinks. In fact, she’s mentions it 42 times.

2. I truly hate when a romance novel wastes time on characters that aren’t relevant to the plot solely because they’re the main characters in other books in the series. It’s awkward and it’s almost never well done. This book is not the exception.

3. It’s hard to buy a character’s angst when it’s so liberally interspersed with weak attempts at madcap comedy.
