The book has quite a lot of information dumping. Whole chapters can just be information about the fictional world, including details that are a bit unnecessary. The chapters are long too, like 20 or 30 pages each. Despite this I still loved the book and if these flaws aren't strong turn-offs for you I deepy recommend this book. It is so deep and intuitive for a young adult book and the magic system is so so unique. Diverse cast of characters too!
