Big Rock by Lauren Blakely

4.0

About a week or two ago, I read Full Package and loved it a lot. So I decided to read many more books by Lauren Blakely, starting with the romantic comedies. Since the comedies are somewhat linked, I started from the first in the "series" and this one was it.

This was a very short book and it was fun. I didn't like it as much as I liked Full Package. The romance and the entertainment game wasn't as great as it was in that one. It was still a ton of fun and very cute. I liked the plot and I'm quickly coming to adore all of Lauren Blakely's characters, both male and female, because their so mature and non-angsty about things. They're nice, considerate and funny. Love 'em.

The writing was a tad stilted at times and the humor came off as a little trying-too-hard. But overall, I really liked the novel and I'm looking forward to read more by the author.
