Wow! My first Alice Feeney novel and definitely not my last. Super twisty and tense. At times a little scary (not horror scary, but stressful and twisty). Heavy on traumatic themes, so be cautious of content warnings especially around childhood trauma, addiction, neglect, and sexual assault of a person in a coma. It’s rough at times for sure but very well written.
It barely missed the 5 star for me because I felt there was one significant storyline that never got wrapped up, and the ending is unnecessarily frustrating.
