While the writing is great--and I listened to part of audio--I could not get into this book enough to commit to 460+ pages. Blame it on ADHD or deadlines, but the rest of my book club struggled as well. Just not my cuppa, as they say. Would still recommend to those who love gritty, literary fiction.
