It was okay but was it 700 pages serious?
I have very mixed feelings about this book because while I liked some moments I also thought about DNFing it. I wanted to like this book more than I did. I liked the novella before this and while I liked most of the characters Rachel really fell flat for most of this book. I did like Jake and Caleb as individuals and apart of the polyamorous relationship and that’s about it. I like the mentions of astrology, I like knowing a characters zodiac sign but I feel like there were so many mentions of it I was sick of it by the end of this book.
Also I know it’s a pet peeve of mine when predominantly straight books mention how seeing an attractive person made their ovaries go crazy… like no. No that’s not how humans work and frankly it disturbs me every time. It distracts from any character development or spicy moment the author is trying for.
