An Oresteia by Euripides, Aeschylus, Sophocles
5.0
Ohohoho
Starting off with a fantastic translation of the agammemnon. I loved kassandras parts so much.
Then Sophokles' Elektra which was new to me and quite different to the versions of Aischylos and Euripides. The argument between Elektra and Klytaimnestra is fantastic. Filth teaches filth. Love it.
And then the finale: Euripides' Orestes. That play is absolutely balls to the wall bonkers. I want to know so badly how the first staging of that play was received. Some of the translation is weirdly modern at times but it fits with the feverish manic plot of that play anyway. What the hell was euripides thinking. I love it.
