I haven’t read the first book of the series, but I was able to follow along very easily to the storyline. Overall I enjoyed the book and enjoyed the depth of the characters and their development throughout the book.
I rate it a 4-star because I thought the pacing was a little up and down. There were moments where I feel like it dragged on a bit but also some moments where it feels like it was rushed and I wanted to explore that scene more.
The angst, the yearning, and the passion behind the characters was top notch!
Would I recommend to others? Absolutely! Would I reread again? Probably not. Did I enjoy the book? Overall, I honestly did.
