Scythe by Neal Shusterman
Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
There was an interesting premise in here but it was buried beneath such dark murderous death ideology that it was hard to latch onto.
Obviously a book about kids learning to be the state sanctioned murderers wasn’t going to be a light hearted book, but the writing was quite good and I listened longer than I would have thought.
I didn’t appreciate the use of 10 commandments.
I thought the exploration of what happens if you don’t have an expiration date interesting and to see where the author went with that was probably the reason I lasted so long.
Ultimately, I was sick of reading about so much murder in one book.
