This was probably one of the easiest 5 stars i have ever given. The book is written with such masterful word crafting whilst also building characters that are human in every aspect. The story is perverted, it’s raw, it’s naked. It’s unapologetic for scenes that people may find rather repulsing. It’s about Elio and his infatuation with Oliver and how they come to be and how, despite the fact it’s been 20 years, they still care for and love one another. That is what i loved most compared to the movie. The ending has a completely different tone. It’s a summer read that i will reread many times in the future. I loved every second.
