This book uncovers a lot of things which have been hidden under political, social, commercial propagandas.
Without understanding power, my understanding of the world is severely limited, now I think.
This book also validates so many of my observations and beliefs that I almost feel love for the author.
And his style of telling is often funny and poignant at the same time.
For instance, he describes how US education is structured to shape students to be obedient like this:
'an awful lot of education is like that, from the very beginning. Some people go along with it because they figure, “Okay, I’ll do any stupid thing that asshole says because I want to get ahead”; others do it because they’ve just internalized the values — but after a while, those two things tend to get sort of blurred. But you do it, or else you’re out: you ask too many questions and you’re going to get in trouble.'

I enjoyed the book immensely.
