celestrium 's review for:
Illustrated Shakespeare: Twelfth Night
by William Shakespeare
This isn't really a review, more just a brain dump after reading.
How I do struggle to read Shakespearean language but enjoy the stories. (Granted I'm not as terrible at translating as I think I am but still have to be accompanied by SparkNotes to make sure). Of course what also helps me to read the book? Having grown up watching She's the Man and knowing it's inspired by this play.
In this edition of the play, I think the illustrations confused me more, to be honest, but I did enjoy them.
