A Secret Sisterhood: The Literary Friendships of Jane Austen, Charlotte Brontë, George Eliot, and Virginia Woolf by Emily Midorikawa

3.0

This exploration of four under-known female friendships of iconic female authors had some great biographical info and some genuine insights into the lives of literary women. But it's marred by a somewhat stiff, overly wordy, quasi-academic writing style that keeps it from being as engrossing as I thought it would be. Worth reading but I did quite a bit of skimming.
