۶ৎ 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩. cam feels hopeful about his relationship with his ex-fianceé lilith after daniel and luce break their curse and find a way to finally be together. he discovers that she's been influenced by lucifer and has been forced to relieve multiple lives in varying personalized hells. he makes a deal with lucifer- if he can win over lilith in fifteen days, lucifer must free her. while cam is doing his best to make lilith fall in love with him again, lucifer is manipulating everything behind the scenes so that cam fails. in the end, lilith chooses cam and they become free to live their lives together.

➝ 𝐜𝐚𝐦. he's really grown on me since 'fallen' and has probably become my favorite character in the series behind roland and arianne. although he's kinda stupid and rash, he has a good heart and that becomes very clear in this book. i also just looooove how he treated lilith the whole time. i know his goal was to win her over but he was just sosososo sweet, even when she was upset with him over the lies lucifer was creating. i also just found him to be a much more interesting mmc than daniel ever was.
➝ 𝐥𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐡. LOVED LILITH SO BAD OH MY GOD. it's so unfortunate that she's just not important until this book because she's so fucking cool and badass and i love her. i hate how lucifer made her live hellish lives over and over again (even though she doesn't remember them) and the way she was treated by everyone around her was insane. she also seems to just have the coolest style ever and i pictured the band to be this crazy cool punk rock type thing which i just adore. i would pay to have  full series for these two.
۶ৎ 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐭. i absolutely flew through this book in just a few hours. i legit got up to page 212 before i realized just how long i had been reading for, and even when i tried to take a break i got pulled right back in. this book felt so different from the others in this series and took on an NA form rather than a YA form which i greatly appreciated. i also felt like the character interactions felt so much smoother and realistic, and the plot didn't ever falter or become un-interesting.
the only thing that sucked was the ending, but honestly i saw that coming. it's clear that lauren kate cannot write endings to save her life. i don't really know what else i was expecting tbh. it was sooo rushed at the end and left so much up in the air. like roland randomly decides he's going after lucifer and that there's going to be a revolution? i don't really get that part because it feels like it's leading into another book in the series, which obviously it didn't, and in 'rapture' when him and arriane appeared with shelby and miles at the end, there was no mention of this revolution. so idk what that was about. and i don't get where lilith and cam's relationship is meant to go from this point forward because technically lilith is a mortal? i think. so she would age and cam wouldn't. and they're just left in this random area with no other conclusion rather than "where do we go?" "wherever we want to." like ok.
۶ৎ 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. overall this was easily the best book in the entire 'fallen' series and i hate that it took so long for me to get to this. HOWEVER, i'm not mad that i read it in about three hours lmfaoooo. it was so good. i just wish the ending wasn't so terrible. happy to move on from this series though and i'm glad that cam and lilith were able to redeem the overall story a bit. :)
