I generally don't care which books people like because it's all very subjective. 
But I genuinely feel lied to. This book has been recommended to me time and time again, for years. I don't know why. I'm just glad I didn't pay for this. 

First of all, the writing is incredibly confusing. Continuity? Fact checking? Nah, who needs that. 

Don't even get me started on the conversations the characters are having. Who are they talking to? Not each other, that's for sure. 

And the whole "they're speaking German now" thing? It's giving lazy tv show subtitles. Ew.

I'm not even going to touch on the casual use of slurs, homophobia and rape jokes. 

I don't like any of the characters. Not even a little bit. 

Reading this far was a struggle and felt like a damn eternity and I don't have time for all of that. 
I'm done. 

(I also don't appreciate the people comparing this to bad fic. That's an insult to fic writers, actually.)
