This book was okay - it provided an interesting, albeit raw, depiction of what giving birth was like in the Middle Ages (I have a renewed appreciation of drugs, hospitals and doctors now), but I just could not seem to fully get into this book - I didn't get too attached to the main character(s) and sometimes had trouble concentrating on the storyline.
