Do No Harm by Jack Jordan

3.5

My son has been taken and my option is to either kill a patient on the operating table or never see my son again…

This is a very interesting and unique moral dilemma, medical thriller with a stark contrast of characters and POVs.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the characters, despite so much focus on character flaws which is something I usually adore but I think I just didn’t know the characters enough, which made it hard for me to care or like them. However, the plot enticed me enough to continue reading.

Some parts did feel like waffle, whereas other parts felt rushed like the ending. Due to the rushed ending, I had a lot of unanswered questions. I do think that the book could have been shorted and still had the same impact. Apart from this, I really enjoyed the writing style and thought it conveyed the feelings that Anna and Rachel would have been feeling very well in particular.
