The Mystery of Hunter's Lodge: A Short Story by Agatha Christie

3.0

Loved the premise of this story-Hastings is sent out on his own in an apprentice type role to gather the case details since Hercule Poirot is sick in bed with influenza. While the reveal is an interesting idea, I just don’t believe Poirot could have come to the conclusion from the sparse details Hastings provides. One thing I am learning from reading Christie is that being rich leaves you in a precarious situation in 1920’s England/France-the chances of you being murdered for profit run high. An enjoyable read if you love Poirot and Hastings as a team.
