Alien: Isolation by Keith R.A. DeCandido

3.0

Third book I’ve read in my Alien Novel Universe journey. My main criticism is that the pacing is extremely inconsistent and doesn’t blend well. I loved all of the moments looking into Amanda Ripley’s past but it kept interrupting her present. If the chapters were better placed then I’d have enjoyed this way more. But the constant past and present back and forth was not handled well.

And it made Sevastopol Station so much smaller moving way too fast. Basically just a huge issue with inconsistent pacing to the point the video game’s inconsistent pacing looked smooth. I do recommend if you’re an Alien fan just to mark it off the list. The pacing just put me off so much even with the large amount of elements I did like.
