The Taking of Jake Livingston by Ryan Douglass
dark
emotional
3.5
I had heard great things about this book, but I just couldn’t connect to it. Scenes felt jumbled and disconnected. The main characters extreme apathy made it hard for me to connect with him or care about what happened to him.
The way Jake can interact with the spirit world was interesting and made me long for a more in-depth explanation.
