World Building
So I guess this one is meant to be a precursor to the last, but I'm beyond tired of the cop out that the less you know the better. Paranormal people don't share their secrets etcetera etcetera. There are constantly verbal copout from the characters in the know in these books that allow the author to avoid world building and creating the mythology and rules of the world. Its lazy and frustrating for me as a reader because even after finishing two books set in the same word I don't even come close to understanding how its supposed to work. Without proper world building books with paranormal society don't completely make sense. The characters are interesting and funny but could have been developed more and the plot could have used some more development mostly because of the lack of world building. It was good but it could be better.
