Ms Perfectly Fine
by Kate Callaghan
Cheesy and predictable romcom for if you're looking for an easy read in between.
Seeing the Grumpy-Sunshine trope was being reversed in this book, I decided to give it a try. I liked the personalities of the main characters and their very different professions. The story read very fluently and isn't hard to follow. Don't forget how amazing Brinkley is, she's definitely my favourite character. I also liked the way the author deals with consent throughout the story, its importance is really being accentuated.
It is however predictable (even the plottwists were pretty obvious to me) and very unbelievable. Things just didn't add up and the attraction-repulsion didn't make any sense at all. There were also lots of cheesy thoughts and sentences, a little bit over the top for me. Even though I like reading a romcom from time to time, I guess this one just isn't completely my cup of tea.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.
