Beartown by Fredrik Backman

4.0

I don't care about hockey, but damn, this book pulled me in for this story about a small hockey town that is so passionate about its sport, that it truly struggles when it experiences a horrific tragedy. I hated this town. I loved this town. The characters were real and more than once I had tears stinging my eyes as they grapple with hard decisions, and I was seeing red with their cruelty and selfishness. Truly moving and the audiobook was fantastically narrated.
