The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

Not going to lie, but this is my favourite of the series- my rating may be slightly biased but in the land where it is always winter- but never Christmas, this is the Narnia novel everyone knows and adores.
In this book, we meet our four main protagonists, Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter as they are evacuated to the country during the war. One day as they are playing, Lucy discovers a magical world inside a wardrobe, has tea with a faun named Mr Tumnus, but is disappointed when none of her siblings believe her.
Lucy's childhood curiosity is what makes you want to make the others believe her. Eventually, all four find their way into Narnia. They are thrown into adventure and a battle between good and evil as the White Witch fights for the claim of Queen of Narnia against the rightful King, the might Lion, Aslan.
There is so much to this book you are immediately drawn in. Each sibling has a unique character; but Edmund ' s treachery was still surprising. However at times it got a little too much.
It is Aslan who I like the most, he is always kindly and courageous, even in the worst of times. It is this kindness that ultimately defeats the evil.
Time moves faster in Narnia than it does in our world, the four siblings become noble Kings and Queens as the prophecy foretold. They grow up but they are still the same characters from the start.
The title features the three most important elements of the story, a story sparked by simply curiosity is always beloved. I love this story, it is the one CS Lewis wrote first and it is clear why he wrote more.

I'll always love it.
