The People We Keep by Allison Larkin

4.0

Really good book. It’s a Story of a young girl trying to figure life out. She got dealt a bad set of cards in life and has to navigate who stays in her life and who goes. You wanted to shake the main character at times for her choices and then hug her and take care of her at other times.

Sad moments, beautiful moments, it really has it all. Kept my interest the whole time. I liked the ending, didn’t love it though! I wanted more for April. But all in all a solid 4.5/5 and would recommend it.

When you are done reading it, ask yourself, “Where or What is my Ithaca?” Where are the places, who were the people who have stayed with you have, that made an impact on your life, who made it better?
