Felt very preachy and very "I am smarter than thou". I wanted a lot from the characters but they seemed to say nothing in a ton of dialogue and yet they believed they said something profound. I really wanted to like Ry but i did not understand his and Victors love story. They just seemed incompatible ahd toxic. The other characters seemed to only be there to bring in new perspectives to the idea of eternal life and nothing more. 
Mary Shellys chapters were the most enjoyable.
